Fish and bugs

Right where to start i have done loads!

Saturday we went to chutchak weekend market which was massive so many clothes stores and it went on for miles then on the night our taxi driver said he would take us to a really good thai restaurant and we said is it cheap he said yes! On the way he decided to drive us past the red shirt protest we were like what the hell are you doing then he took us to this restaurant and it was really posh and cost 2500baht for a meal which is like 50 quid we were like not staying here taxi drive basically just took us there for commission! Then we went across the road to this really nice local restaurant which was 70 baht bout 1.30 for all u can eat and we had to cook our own meat on a grill thing in the middle and ate with chop sticks which was quite hard to do.

Met our tour leader Darius on Sunday and went to this bar with a band and had 3 bottles of whiskey between us and i was a bit sick! Last night i had a fish feet massage basically you put your feet in this big tank and all the fish bite Ur feet it was a really weird feeling then went out and had a Thai green curry with was really really nice with a few people from our tour then went to one of the street bars and was drinking buckets. Then i manage to find on of the stalls which sold bugs so i tried a fried grass hopper haha tasted kinda salty and was crunchy, then we went to a club called The club lol and met loads people there.

Today we went out in the morning to explore and some of the people on our tour decided to get a tuk tuk to the temples which i have been advised not to do as it is a con and they take u to loads suit shops to get commission there not back yet so not sure how long they will be. Me and tash went and decided to walk to see some temple we found one but it was'tnt open and there wasnt anyone there. Then we walked along the river and was walking through a shanty bit literally walk through peoples houses got a bit scared they had all tattoos on their face and was lots dogs barking i was thinking i hope i'm not walking through a gang area but turnt out to be OK and was really interesting to walk through somewhere which isnt touristy and see how some of the local people live.

The Tuk Tuks here really hassle u every street u walk down their like do u want a tut tuk.

Really enjoying Bangkok love the atmosphere and the busyness of everything been here for 4 days now and am so glad got to explore a bit before our tour starts which will be starting tonight. Head down the the beach island Ko Phangan on Thursday am looking forward to relaxing on a picture perfect beach gonna be amazing but also while im here think i will stop off in Bangkok again.

Travel Adventure

I have decided to go off traveling alone ( Which is a scary though but need to be done) :D!

I have always wanted to explore the world and experience different culture and places!

So I set of April 16th 2010, starting off on a tour in Bangkok which will end in Ko Phangan. From there I am not compleatly sure where I would like to head to after then ive had quite a few different plans but haven't decided yet.

The countries I would like to see in South East Asia are Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam. Then on 30th June I fly to Hong Kong to travel China for a month before flying to Australia on 6th August 2010.

I'm very excited but also very nervous :S
